Sorry everyone, I’ve been a bit preoccupied the past year or so. To fill you in, here’s what I’ve done:

Got promoted at work
Moved to Brooklyn
Became the VP of Web Admin for the SU Alumni club in NYC
Went on a sick snowboarding trip to Lake Tahoe
Enjoyed Barack Obama getting elected
Saw nine Phish shows this summer, with three more to go at Red Rocks
Purchased a PS3
Saw longtime friend Greg Bishop get married in Seattle
Going to see longtime friend Greg Garland get married in Deleware

So, moving forward I’ll try to post some more items for everyone!

Vibes wrap-up

So, it’s a week or two late, but here’s the wrap-up for the Vibes.

Got in no problem, and set up the Coleman in time to catch the last 1/2 of Dark Star on Thursday
The Vibes officially “hit” everyone, when Bucky spit beer in my face in front of the beer tent during “The Music Never Stopped,” which DSO botched, btw…
We made friends with a couple Vermonters camped next to us, which totally re-affirmed what the Vibes is all about - good people, good vibes, and great music.
Phil Lesh tore the roof off the joint. His new lineup is amazing, and they left no stone unturned in this set. Check it out for yourself.
Some other musical gems included the Mike Gordon Band, the Brew, Jackie Greene, Umphrey’s McGee and Sam Bush.
The Coleman ended up getting trashed in a storm, and we ended up kicking it down to our new friend, Marty, from Vermont. Coleman, RIP…

ASG Wrap-up

Well, PK and I had a blast at the ASG. Not only did we get to see something truly special, but we actually were able to sneak down to some decent seats for most of the game (being that it ran 15 innings). I took some pictures as well, so feel free to check them out!

Bobby Murcer, RIP

I have to say I was more upset that I thought I would be when I found out about the passing of Bobby Murcer. I was driving home from Best Buy on Central Ave in Scarsdale, when I got a text alert on my phone. His death really got me thinking about why he was so important to the Yankees. Bobby Murcer never lived up to his status as the next Mickey Mantle. But he did live up to his status a great Yankee on and off the field. The man played the game the right way, and was loved and respected for that. Murcer will be remembered the way Yankee fans will remember Don Mattingly and Paul O’Neill. Not just because of what they did on the field, but what they also did off the field.

Rest in Peace, Bobby. You’re going to be missed…

Got to hang with Little G, Bishop, Hannah, Alex Noe, Rob G, and Alan Mock at the shows - which was great to have a nice, solid roster. The second set at Gov’s Island was mind blowing - but the two sets at the Highline were insane. Bish and I even made it to Red Rocks for post game in which we both had our shirts ripped off by the bartender and had our asses whipped with Bish’s belt. Good times…
